Before I Go To Sleep Official Trailer #1 (2014) - Nicole Kidman, Colin ...

This is the trailer of before i go to sleep, it displays the thriller genre as it leaves you questioning whats going to happen, the font use dis also bold but could relate to a hospital ward, which also could link to the title of a film as she has a medical condition before she goes to sleep.

Trialling Titles And Pitch Explanation

we have chosen to use this font as it fits with the scifi genre, it therefore adds a sense of futuristic to our film. we have chosen the colour purple as the light walkers eyes are purple and so the colour adds significance to this, the colour of there eyes is how you can tell if there a light walker and so by making the film title purple it makes the film known its called light walker. the light walkers are a alien species and the font is space aged style, this adds to the fact they are unknown and also to the fact that the film highlights alot of technology.

Typical Synopsis of Sci-Fi Thriller Genre

This is a screenshot taken from IMDb, it shows the film "Interstellar" which was released on the 7th of November 2014. To give a brief outline of the plot; in the near future a small group of explores take a journey through a wormhole in search of a new inhabitable planet due to the collapse of Earth.

This fits closely to the Sci-Fi thriller genre. To begin with; it incorporated the setting in the near future which is commonly used to get the audience thinking about how things could turn out. It also technology with is not around today and this plays a large part in Science Fiction films.
Interstellar was rated 8.9 from 337,175 viewers which is extremely high. From this we can infer that it was very popular with a variety of people. This is uncommon with science fiction films due to the fact that they usually have a very niche target audience, however this could be explained by the fact that it is only a subgenre of Thriller; which is debatably one of the most popular genres in our time.
It was directed and starred in by Christopher Nolan who is well known in the thriller genre for films such as "Memento" and "Inception". This would draw in a large audience due to the recurring success of his other films.
